Effective Date: August 11, 2026  —  Last Updated: August 11, 2026

Willow & Wharf House, a sole proprietorship ("Willow & Wharf House," "we," "us," or "our"), operates willowandwharfhouse.com (the "Site") and offers related digital products, including materials associated with the Sparrow Cove Romance Series published under the pen name Marlow Sutton (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.

By accessing or using the Site, subscribing to our email list, or purchasing a Digital Product, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly. We collect information you voluntarily provide, including: your name and email address when you subscribe to our newsletter or create an account; your name, email address, billing address, and order details when you purchase a Digital Product; and any information you include when you contact us, leave a comment, or submit a review.

Payment Information. Payment card and billing details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor(s). We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.

Information Collected Automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, including your IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, operating system, referring and exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits, through cookies, pixels, log files, and similar technologies described in Section 3.

Information From Third Parties. We may receive information about you from third-party platforms you interact with in connection with the Services (for example, retail platforms such as Amazon KDP, our email marketing and CRM provider, or social and scheduling platforms such as Pinterest), consistent with those platforms' own privacy practices.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Site and deliver purchased Digital Products;
  • Process transactions and send order confirmations, receipts, and related communications;
  • Send newsletters, new-release announcements, promotions, and other marketing communications, where you have subscribed or otherwise consented;
  • Respond to inquiries, comments, and customer support requests;
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve the Site's performance, content, and user experience;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other harmful or illegal activity; and
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We may aggregate or de-identify information so that it no longer identifies you, and we may use and share such aggregated or de-identified information for any purpose without further notice to you.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the Site, including for analytics and marketing purposes. Third-party analytics and advertising providers we use may also place their own cookies or similar technologies on your device.

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting them. If you disable cookies, some features of the Site may not function properly. Because there is no consistent industry standard for recognizing browser-based "Do Not Track" signals, the Site does not currently respond to such signals.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share your information as follows:

  • Service Providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf, including email marketing and CRM platforms, payment processors, website hosting providers, analytics providers, and file-delivery services, solely to enable them to provide those services to us;
  • Legal Compliance and Protection. Where we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights or property, investigate fraud, or protect the safety of any person;
  • Business Transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of some or all of our business or assets, in which case personal information may be among the assets transferred; and
  • With Your Consent. For any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection or with your consent.

5. Third-Party Links and Platforms

The Site contains links to third-party websites and services, including Amazon KDP, Pinterest, and Spotify. This Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we are not responsible for, the privacy practices of any third-party website or platform. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations. When personal information is no longer needed for these purposes, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

7. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You transmit information to us at your own risk.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of thirteen (13). If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under thirteen without verified parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information. If you believe a child under thirteen has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the information in Section 13.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and the right to opt out of receiving marketing communications from us. You may exercise these rights, where applicable, by contacting us at the email address listed in Section 13 or by using the unsubscribe link included in our marketing emails.

California Residents. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), may give you the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to request deletion of that information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, as those terms are defined by the CCPA. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under sixteen (16) years of age. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Other International Users. If you are located outside the United States, please note that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on your consent, the necessity of processing to perform a contract with you (such as fulfilling an order), and our legitimate business interests in operating and improving the Services. By using the Site or providing your information to us, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing.

10. Marketing Communications and Opt-Out

If you no longer wish to receive marketing emails from us, you may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link included in each email, or by contacting us directly. Please note that even after opting out of marketing communications, we may continue to send you transactional or administrative messages related to a purchase or account you maintain with us.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time, in our sole discretion. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site or Services after any revision becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy is subject to the Governing Law, Binding Arbitration, and Class Action Waiver provisions set forth in our Terms of Service, which are incorporated into this Privacy Policy by reference.

Drafting Note (remove before publishing)

This is a template, not legal advice. It's written to be broad and owner-friendly, but its accuracy depends on the tools you actually use — confirm which analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), advertising pixels, and CRM/email systems (e.g., GoHighLevel/LeadConnector) are live on the Site, since specific tracking technologies should be named for full transparency and, in some jurisdictions, are legally required to be disclosed. Have a Florida-licensed attorney review this before publishing, particularly the CCPA and GDPR sections, since applicability depends on your actual visitor base and data flows, not just where the business is located.
